Worst for semiconductor industry appears to be over, says Chartered

SINGAPORE: Singapore chipmaker Chartered Semiconductor said the worst appears to be over for the semiconductor industry.

But, according to its CEO, the pace of recovery is still uncertain because of residual weakness in the US and European economies.
